Ancestry of the Harp Seal
Evidence of the common ancestry shows that other seals will have similar adaptations because they mostly live in the same area: the arctic. In addition, all seals are semi-aquatic.

Is there anything next for harp seals?
Sadly, there might not be anything. Right now harp seals along with every other seal are endangered. Their endangerment is the fault of many humans that are hunting and killing them. In 2002, over 312,000 seals were slaughtered. Then, in the next 2 years, nearly 650,000 seals gone. These cruel killers are planning on hunting down hundreds of thousands this spring. If this doesn't stop there is a huge chance of not just harp seals but all seals becoming extinct in the near future.
